Food Farmacy Program
In partnership with Summit Community Gardens & EATS and CCPC, PHC delivers fresh produce to patients screening positive for food insecurity. Managing diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease isn’t possible without healthy food, and too many of our neighbors are forced to go without. Good food is good medicine.

Diabetes Program
At PHC, managing diabetes starts with a plan built around each patient’s life, language, and circumstances. Our Diabetes Program combines medical care, behavioral health support, nutrition, and medication access within a single bilingual team. University of Utah endocrinologists see our most complex patients right here at PHC, and our volunteer ophthalmologists deliver sight-saving eye care when it matters most. Diabetes can be complicated. Getting care shouldn’t be.
Hypertension Program
Most of our hypertension patients have never had a doctor who could follow them over time. Our Hypertension Program changes that. Between clinic visits, patients track their own blood pressure with AHA-donated home monitors. When cases are complex, they see a volunteer cardiologist without leaving our building. Consistent care, without the barriers.
Vaccines for Children
The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program offers vaccines at no cost for eligible children through VFC-enrolled healthcare providers.
Emergency Contraception and Family Planning
People’s Health Clinic offers a variety of contraception options including same-day appointments for counseling and the initiation of birth control without delay. We offer free birth control: oral contraceptives, intrauterine devices, injections and implants. Emergency contraception is available with hormone-based treatment.
Laboratory Services
We have an in-house laboratory with the capability to offer most point-of-care and send-out laboratory studies at no cost. The laboratory staff also provide adult vaccinations.
