Tania Nisimblat Bodnar, MD, FACOG joined the People’s Health Clinic in 2018 as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a passion and focus for preventive women’s health, access to contraception and quality prenatal care. She pursued her dream of a career in medicine and attended an international medical program at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and completed her clinical rotations stateside through Ross University. She did her residency training in Stamford, CT where she stayed to pursue work in private practice for ten years. She transitioned to a hospital setting practice at Park City Hospital and is now pivoting out of the private sector to focus on community rural health in her new role as the Women’s Health Medical Director.
Born in Mexico to Colombian parents, Dr. Bodnar has a unique and diverse multicultural background with a deep understanding of the Hispanic community. She is a native Spanish speaker and has also become proficient in French; her multi-lingual skills and cultural inclusivity have become a tremendous asset to her career and her ability to connect with patients.
As the Women’s Health Medical Director, Dr. Bodnar will be responsible for the obstetric and gynecologic medical care provided at the Peoples Health Clinic. She will have direct clinical responsibilities in addition to serving as the supervising lead for providers who are involved in the care of women’s health. She will be growing contraception efforts by focusing on education and increasing access for the vulnerable population. She will offer comprehensive in-office gynecologic services and coordinate safe obstetric transition for delivery.
Tania and the Bodnar family moved to Park City from the East Coast (pre-COVID) for a change of environment, where they have learned the beauty of balancing work and family to allow for a great quality of life. She is an avid alpine skier, yogi and has taken up mountain biking, nordic skiing, as well as stand-up-paddleboarding. When she is not in the clinic seeing patients you can find her and her family enjoying the incredible jewel that is Park City as well as searching for more beautiful adventures in southern UT, ID, WY, and CO in their teardrop trailer. She has two children who attend McPolin Elementary School in Park City, two dogs who love to cuddle and hike around Round Valley, and a loving husband who is her number one supporter.
Dr. Bodnar is honored to give back to this amazing community who has embraced her warmly. People’s Health Clinic stands as a beacon of hope, love and doing what is right in this world. She is humbled to be a part of this mission to help give the women of this community a voice and an opportunity to live their healthiest lives.
