Dr. Merrill Lewen is passionate about Women's Health. A gynecologist who moved to Park City almost six years ago, she has volunteered and mentored at the Clinic every chance she gets. Born in New York City, she studied at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH and has held private practices in Seattle, WA, Pasadena, CA and Houston, TX, where she always hoped to empower women to take control of their health and relationships. Just before moving to Park City, she maintained a specialty clinic at Planned Parenthood in Houston. Merrill's interests have become more and more focused on access to birth control and reproductive freedom and justice. She loves hiking, playing tennis, doing plenty of yoga and pilates and visiting her daughter and baby granddaughter in London. She is continuously awed by the natural beauty and wonderful people she has met in Park City; she believes it is a community unlike any other. She currently sits on the Board of Directors at People's Health Clinic and their Medical Advisory Committee where she continues to make a difference.
