Dr. Scott Shulman is the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Primary Care at the People's Health Clinic. After growing up in rural Pennsylvania, he attended Emory University for both college and medical school. He remained in Atlanta at Emory for his residency and chief residency where he met his wife of 35 years. Coming out of residency he joined a practice of 5 providers and 30 staff and helped grow that practice to 68 providers and over 300 staff. He practiced outpatient internal medicine in Atlanta for 30 years and for the last 11 of those years had a significant administrative role in running his practice. He and his wife had been coming to the Park City area regularly since 2004 and had dreamed of moving here some day. That dream came true in 2020. After moving he continued to work for his practice in Atlanta for two and a half more years but when that ended he needed to find purpose in his life. After volunteering at the People's Clinic for four months, he has found that purpose. "The patients are wonderful, the staff are incredible and the level of compassion and health care delivered is as high quality as I have seen anywhere. I believe that everyone no matter what their background has the right to high quality medical care and I feel privileged to be able to contribute to that mission at the People's Health Clinic." In his spare time he enjoys interior design, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and biking of all types. He even does a little repurpose/ assemblage art on the side. He has one son on the autism spectrum who works and lives independently in Park City and one son who is working in Atlanta. He lives in Heber with his wife and two dogs.
