Dessire Romero was born in Venezuela and is a doctor by profession. Her last job in Venezuela, which she loved, was with the organization Doctors Without Borders. “More than a year ago I came to live with my family in the United States and I served as a volunteer at The People’s Health Clinic.” She is passionate about the mission of the clinic and attention that is given to those without health insurance.
