Helen has worked for nonprofits at the intersection of health, justice and education for +25 years, including the CDC-funded East New York United for Safety and Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program. Most recently, she was the Director of School & Community Partnerships at Greener Partners, where she brought a farm–on-wheels to 20 schools annually and led community nutrition education, free produce distributions and gardening initiatives to address structural food insecurity.
Helen holds a BA from Tufts University in English and Peace & Justice Studies and an M.Ed. from Harvard University in Educational Psychology. She’s lived in New York City, San Francisco, and Swarthmore, PA, moving to Park City in September 2022. Hiking, yoga, trail running, cooking, growing food, and creating big, beautiful meals that bring people together provide her lots of joy. She’s also a fan of modern dance & theater & movies and playing cards with her husband and two college-age children. She is learning lots of new activities to do in the snow.
Helen serves on the Advisory Committee of Mountainlands Community Housing Trust’s Housing Resource Center. She is thrilled to be working at People’s Health Clinic, strengthening food is medicine initiatives throughout the Wasatch Back and supporting PHC’s stellar volunteers so people who are uninsured have access to the highest quality health care.
